According to the Rector’s Order No.2 dated 04/01/2016 a scientific division that deals with technology transfer issues, innovation activities and intellectual property of National Transport University was established to ensure that functions connected with development, protection and transfer of technologies and/or their components are performed.
The key objectives of the Division are the following:
- participation within its competence in the implementation of state policy in the field of technology transfer, innovation activity and intellectual property;
- arranging and carrying out research in order to identify objects of intellectual property rights created as a result of educational and research activities of the University;
- searching (identifying) competitive scientific and technical products of the University for further commercialization;
- determining technologies and their components according to the results of the identification of competitive scientific and technological inventions of the University;
- methodological support, protection of the right to inventions, utility models, trade secrets, computer programs, databases and other intellectual property (IP)objects created by the University;
- arranging and carrying out marketing and patent marketing research;
- application of research and development (R & D) results and intellectual property rights of high technology products of the University as well as provision of the University licensing activities and technology transfer support;
- analysis of the results of scientific, technical and research activities of the University with regard to the possibility of making proposals to the database of the System of transfer of energy- and resource-saving technology for developing the road-transport complex of Ukraine, exhibiting them, transferring them to third parties.
