The Information and Computing Center (ICC) is a major structural unit of the National Transport University (NTU) within the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU). The center was founded under NTU rector’s order № 338 of October 21, 2003 at the premises of NTU Engineering information technology center. Formal opening took place on September 15, 2004.
IOC work is directed at “Automation and IT development within research, scientific and educational, administrative fields of the university work and their coordination with the international standards based on “IOC Provisions”
The main objectives of the IOC are:
- Implementation of modern information telecommunication networks;
- Development and maintenance of integrated automated management complex;
- Carrying out research according to the fields of the centre activity;
- Development and implementation of specialized and applied software;
- Development and implementation of regulatory and technical documentation in the fields of the centre activity.
