Щербакова Надія ОлександрівнаShcherbakova Nadiya Oleksandrivna is Candidate of Science in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism. She is responsible for organizing and planning the educational process for students majoring in Tourism; Finance, Banking and Insurance; and Accounting and Audit.

Харута Віталій СергійовичKharuta Vitaliy Serhiyovych is Candidate of Science in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Law and Logistics. He is responsible for organizing and planning the educational process for students majoring in Management, Logistics and Project Management. He provides pastoral care and support to senior students. He is the Secretary of the Faculty Council.

Заяц Ольга ВасилівнаZayats Olga Vasylivna is Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Management. She is responsible for organizing and planning the educational process for students majoring in Management, Transport Management and Logistics, Car Service Systems Management, Nature Conservation Management, International Business Management. She provides pastoral care and support to junior students.

The history of Faculty reaches back for almost five decades. It began on May 19, 1965, when according to the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Education, the Faculty of Engineering and Economics was created in Kiev Automobile and Highway Institute (KAHI). In 1984 this faculty was renamed into the Faculty of Economics and Road Transport Maintenance, in 1993 – the Faculty of Transport Management, and in July 2006 – the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law. In April 2016, as a result of the reorganization of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law two new faculties were created: the Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism and the Faculty of Economics and Law.

The Faculty  trains students majoring in Management, Tourism, Finance, Banking and Insurance, Accounting and Audit on the basis of existing regulatory and guiding documents: the Laws of Ukraine «On Education» (№ 1060-XII as of 23.05 .1991), «On Higher Education» (№1556-VII as of 07.01.2014) «On Scientific and Technical Activity» (№848-VIII as of 26.11.2015), Orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulating the activities in the sphere of education in Ukraine, the norms and principles of international law in effect in Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Charter of National Transport University.

Six departments provide the educational process of the faculty.

Department of Management– The Head of the Department is Bidnyak Mykhaylo Nestorovych, Doctor of Science in Engineering, Professor, Member of the Transport Academy of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of the Transport of Ukraine. He holds the Order of the Red Banner of Labour. He is a recognized scientist in the field of road transport management. About 40 research students have defended their PhD theses under his supervision.

Department of Transport Law and Logistics – The Head of the Department is Vorkut Tetyana Anatoliyivna, Doctor of Science in Engineering, Professor. She holds the Excellence in Education of Ukraine badge. She is the author of about 100 academic and teaching and guiding works, including monographs and two textbooks.  Her scientific interests involve the theory of transport processes and systems, logistics, supply chain management, investments efficiency assessment.

Department of Finance, Accounting and Audit – The Head of the Department is Bazyliuk Atonina Vasylivna, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor. She holds the Excellence in Education of Ukraine badge, the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She is the author of over 100 academic and teaching and guiding works. She has worked in the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for approximately 20 years. Her scientific interests cover pricing, shadow economy development conditions and negotiation methods, methods of social protection of population and basics of labor value formation.

Department of Tourism – the Head of the Department is Tsypko Victoriya Vitaliyivna, Doctor of Science in Pedagogy, Professor of the Department.

Department of Foreign Languages – the Head of the Department is Astanina Natalya Valentynivna, Associate Professor. She holds the Excellence in Education of Ukraine badge. She is the author of over 20 academic, teaching and guiding works, including one textbook. She has been cooperating with the British Council of Ukraine for over 15 years.

Department of Sports and Physical Education – the Head of the Department is Kirkevych Mariya Petrivna, Honoured Worker of Physical Culture and Sport; Merited Master of Sports of the USSR in handball; Olympic Champion (Montreal, Canada) 1976; World Championship silver and bronze medallist 1975, 1973; a sevenfold European Champions Cup holder, the tenfold Champion of the USSR, the Honorary Freeman of the Kyiv City, awarded the Medal of Honour For Labour Valour. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of NTU she was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the 3rd grade.

Among the lecturers of the faculty there are 10 professors, including 7 Doctors of Science; 57 associate professors, 28 senior lecturers and 46 assistant lecturers, most of which hold the academic title of PhD.

Since 1965, the administering departments of the faculty have trained and graduated more than 20,000 professionals.

About 1300 students are studying at the faculty now.

The Faculty offers bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s programmes in:

  • Management, with professional directions of Transport Management and Logistics, Car Service Systems Management, Logistics; and specializations in Business Management and Administration; Logistics; International Management; Nature Conservation Management; Project Management.
  • Accounting and Audit;
  • Finance, Banking and Insurance;
  • Tourism, with specialization in Tourism Science;

The faculty offers those who hold the academic level of Junior Specialist shortened   bachelor’s courses in:

  • Management, with professional directions of Transport Management and Logistics and Logistics;
  • Accounting and Audit;
  • Finance, Banking and Insurance.

Research work of the faculty has always been focused on the most acute aspects of the economic development and management of the transport sector. In recent years, this work aims to assess the financial firmness of motor transport enterprises in market conditions. The research has been conducted on the following issues: «Information technology in the financial management of motor transport enterprises», «Modelling of credit policy in the financial activity of motor transport». The researchers have studied problems of production systems on transport, problems of macro-level finance and financial management of the enterprise; improvements in the enterprise business processes through modern information technologies; problems of forming management systems of motor transport enterprise resources.

There is a Thesis Committee for presentation of Candidate of Science and Doctor of Science theses in Economics and Business Administration at the faculty. 62 dissertations have been defended, with 38 theses having been defended by the University staff members.

Great attention is paid to how to attract young people to research work. Each year the faculty holds scientific and technical conferences for professors and students, in which PhD candidates, post-graduate students and university students are proactively involved. The best students are delegated to participate in regional and national conferences and competitions.

The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism maintains close ties with transport firms. Agreements have been concluded and cooperation programmes have been developed with UkrAVTO Corporation, AIS Corporation, NIKO, Eurocar, Kyivpastrans Public Utility Company and UTICO.

All departments of the faculty have their branches at production sites where students can have practical training, internships and defend their graduation or Master’s thesis.

Department of Management has its branches at the PAT ATP-1 and VAT ATP-6 Miskbudtrans motor transport companies.

Department of Transport Law and Logistics has its branch at the PAT RAPID (Kyiv manufacturing company), Ukrainian and European leading company in the international transportation of goods.

Department of Finance, Accounting and Audit has its branch at the Shulgin M. P. State road research institute.

Department of Tourism has its branch at Tvoy Tur travel agency. There is a faculty laboratory with facilities for hotel and restaurant servicing that enable students to have practical training. In addition, an agreement with Pirohovo open-air museum has been signed.

The faculty maintains close ties with the higher education institutions of Ukraine and the CIS countries including Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Belarus National Polytechnic University, Moscow Automobile and Highway University, Kyiv National Economics University and others.

The Faculty has been maintaining close ties with Zilina (Slovakia) Institute of Transport and Communications concerning exchange of students over the years.

The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism is enthusiastically involved in the international cooperation. The faculty has been working closely within the TEMPUS programmes approved by the European Commission with the Paderborn University since 2006.

Among West-European partners within international cooperation are: Vienna University of Economics; Matej Bel University (Banská Bystrica, Slovenia); European Academy (Bozen, Italy); Academy of Professional Education (Ravensburg, Germany).

The work was initiated within TEMPUS ІІІ, where 2 projects were completed: «Network Development of Training Courses in Transport and Logistic Management  in Ukraine – VETLOG» and «Environmental Management for Russia and Ukraine – UMRU»; the project «Network of E-Learning Training in Tourism (Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia) – WeNet» has been finished according to the TEMPUS ІV programme.

There are a lot of advantages in TEMPUS projects participating: the university and its staff have gained European experience and completed internships, NTU has established a close connection with the renowned European universities and signed cooperation agreements.

Within the international cooperation framework National Transport University has signed agreements with the following universities of Georgia:

  • Batumi State Maritime Academy (Batumi);
  • Georgian Aviation University (Tbilisi);
  • Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi);
  • Kutaisi University of Law and Economics (Kutaisi).

Also a cooperation agreement with Matej Bel University (Banská Bystrica, Slovenia) has been signed.

The Faculty of Management, Logistics and Tourism as part of National Transport University has been participating in the Erasmus + programme since 2016. It is a European Union programme for the period 2014-2020 that supports projects, partnerships, events and mobility in education, training, youth and sport areas.

Student government bodies are functioning extensively at the faculty. Different events are organized and held annually to celebrate the Language and Literacy Day in Ukraine, the Faculty Day. In addition, Freshman Debut Competition has been launched.
