The First Working Meeting of the Working Group within the BIO-INTEL-MOB Project

The National Transport University hosted the first working meeting of the university’s working group within the framework of the international BIO-INTEL-MOB project, implemented with the support of the Horizon Europe programme.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the Grant Agreement, discussed the overall project structure, reviewed the Work Packages, and defined the key tasks of the National Transport University for the initial implementation period. Special attention was paid to coordination with international partners, internal organization of the team’s work, and planning of the first project activities.

The BIO-INTEL-MOB project aims to address key challenges of urban and peri-urban mobility and governance by:

  • overcoming fragmentation of transport and mobility data;
  • improving the efficiency of multimodal transport;
  • implementing environmentally safe and “green” mobility solutions;
  • strengthening citizen-centric decision-making.

Project implementation is based on the use of artificial intelligence, data integration, circular logistics, and participatory governance. Practical validation of the solutions will take place through four main pilots in Rome, Cascais, Riga, and Vilnius, as well as satellite sites in Melsungen, Ciampino, Urla, and on the island of Rhodes.

The project is coordinated by Sapienza University of Rome. In total, the consortium includes 32 organizations from 13 countries, ensuring the interdisciplinary and international nature of the research and implementation activities. The project duration is 42 months (3 years and 6 months).

The participation of the National Transport University in the BIO-INTEL-MOB project will contribute to the development of research and practical solutions in the fields of sustainable urban mobility, intelligent transport systems, and the integration of Ukrainian expertise into the European research area.
