Progress Seminar “Micro-Credentials in Technical Higher Education”

The National Transport University is a co-coordinator of the international project ISDEGO (Implementation of Sustainable Urban Development Goals in Transport Bachelor Degree), within the framework of which, on October 21, 2025, an international seminar “Microcredentials in Higher Technical Education: European Practices, National Challenges, and Pathways for Ukraine and Moldova” was held, organized by O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv. The topic of discussion was “Application of Microcredentials in Transport and Logistics.”

The event was conducted online. Representatives of universities from the European Union countries — Poland, Italy, Romania, and Germany — as well as from Ukraine and Moldova participated in the seminar. The event brought together over 80 participants.

During the seminar, participants discussed pressing issues related to shaping future educational needs and skills in the context of global labor market trends in engineering, transport, and logistics. Particular attention was paid to analyzing the European experience in implementing microcredentials and exploring the possibilities of adapting these approaches in the technical education systems of Ukraine and Moldova.

The participants identified key challenges and prospects for developing the microcredential system, emphasizing its importance for modernizing educational programs for specialists in the transport and logistics sector.
