The Department of Transport Construction and Property Management was founded on February 27, 2017 in accordance with NTU order № 58 “On Changes in the structure of the University” of February 27, 2017 by means of merging two departments: the Department of Construction and Road Operation and the Department of Production and Property Management.

The department provides training of Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees of higher education in D3 Management “Entrepreneurship in Real Estate Management” specialties, on G19 “Construction and Civil Engineering” , “Motor roads, Sreets and Roads of Settlements”, G18 “Geodesy and Land Management” “Land and real estate valuation” specializations.

- Organizational planning and management areas for reforming the regional road sector in market conditions.
- Development and implementation of information technologies in the road sector management.
- Development and improvement of the existing regulatory management system in Ukraine’s road sector.
- Pricing and financial management issues in the highway sector.
- Improvement of land and property evaluation methods in the road sector.
- Land management issues in the road construction and reconstruction spheres.
- Mathematical models and calculation methods of reinforced retaining structures on highways.
- Prediction methods of general deformations in the bridge transition zones of influence on the basis of non-uniform flows’ patterns.
- Study of “banking – culvert aqueduct – foundation” construction.
- Research of the water-thermal mode of the road structure.
- Development of regulatory base for road construction.
- Application of geosynthetics in road construction.
- Evaluation of the operational conditions of road clothing with cement-concrete coating for the purpose of establishing rational programs of repair and restoration measures (within the framework of the SCCS).
- Determination of the shallow laying drainage structure capacity, taking into account the annual operation cycle.
- Improvement of construction design and road operation technologies taking the environmental measures to improve the state of the environment.

The Department maintains scientific and creative relations with the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Joint‑Stock Company “Ukravtodor” (Automobile Roads of Ukraine), the Municipal Corporation “Kyivavtodor”, numerous road‑construction and road‑maintenance organizations, the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development” (DerzhdorNDI SE), the State Design Institute “UkrDiprodor”, and the State Enterprise “Road Scientific and Technical Center” (SE “DorCenter”).
