Implementation of academic mobility to the University of the North (Croatia)
Ensuring fruitful cooperation with European higher education institutions, research institutions and other organizations in carrying out international educational and research projects is one of the key aspects of the internationalization strategies of National Transport University. Working on its implementation as well as in the framework of the interinstitutional agreement with the University of the North (Croatia) (https://www.unin.hr/), ERASMUS + projects, Academic Mobility KA1 programs the Rector of the University, Professor Dmytrychenko Mykola Fedorovych and rector’s assistant Haruta Vitaliy Serhiyovych participated in the mobility program from 20 to 24 September 2021.
During the international internship, there was a working meeting with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Anica Hunjet. The participants discussed areas of further cooperation, signing a new interinstitutional agreement for the period 2022-2025 with the possibility of academic exchange of students, teaching and administrative staff, PhD students internships, the possibility of free publications of the university teaching staff in the periodical ‘Technical Journal’, a scientific-professional journal of the University of the North (https://tehnickiglasnik.unin.hr/), which is included in the scientometric database Web of Science Core Collection.
Also, there was a working meeting with the Rector of the University of the North, Professor Marin Milkovic, the First Vice-Rector, Professor Damir Vusic, PhD Željko Kos and Assistant Professor Aleksej Aniskin. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, the key aspects of which are: development of joint curricula for bachelors, masters, graduate students and PhD students; development of new teaching methods through e-learning and distance learning; exchange of students, teaching and administrative staff within official mobility programs; organization of joint scientific conferences, seminars, round tables; organization and conduct of joint research projects and mutual exchange of information on research results and publication of scientific papers in national and international scientific journals; development of institutional relations in order to improve the quality of higher education; cooperation of students and student organizations in the field of academic and cultural activities, thus enriching the intercultural awareness of students, which is crucial for successful business communication at the global, national and local levels; cooperation in other areas where mutual interest in cooperation is established.
During working meetings with the Head of the Department of Logistics, Professor Predrag Briek and the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Professor Bozo Soldo, the possibilities of joint research projects in the field of logistics and sustainable mobility were discussed, as well as participation in an international conference (https://www.esd-conference.com/conferences), which is supported by the University of the North.
A number of meetings were held with the management of production units in Varaždin (Croatia).
