Internship for lecturers within the framework the international project SmaLog

The lecturers did an internship within the framework of the international project SmaLog Erasmus + / KA2, which is implemented at National Transport University by the Department of Transport Systems and Road Safety.

The main aim of the internship is to acquire new knowledge and skills to design curricula for Master’s students training in Smart Transport and City Logistics.

The lecturers did their internship in the following universities:

HOCHSCHULE WISMAR, UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCE: TECHNOLOGY, BUSINESS AND DESIGN

  • Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Systems and Road Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences Oksana Dmytrivna Hulchak

The main objectives of the internship:

– The new experience in the field of scientific and practical skills of German colleagues has been obtained.

– The main motivation was to study modern approaches to mathematical modeling and modeling of city traffic using modern tools and technologies such as PTV software (VISSIM and VISUM).

– To get new experience in the field of scientific and practical skills.

  • Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Systems and Road Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences Roman Oleksandrovych Laputin

The main objectives of the internship:

– The main motivation was to study modern approaches to mathematical modeling and simulation procedure of traffic flow in the city using modern tools and technologies such as PTV software (VISSIM and VISUM).

– To learn more about modern methods of transport problems solving such as congestion on main streets, pollution, parking problems in cities and approaches to transport management using satellite navigation systems.

The lecturers, who participated in the internship, are grateful for providing and co-coordinating of the internship to:

Dagmar Hoffmann for holding a meeting, for history of creation and information about functioning of distance learning courses.

As well as to Mr. Nozon and Dr. Andreas Schubert for hosting a meeting in Rostock and presenting Rostock City Development Plans, taking into account changes in population mobility.

Uwe Köhler for giving an opportunity, organizing and providing support of the visit to the container terminal HHLA in Hamburg.

Prof. Udo Onnen-Weber for providing information on a transport project implementation of a transport project for remote rural areas, and for an interesting discussion on this topic.

SAPIENZA UNIVERSITY OF ROME

  • Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Systems and Road Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences Olha Mykolaivna Kunytska

The main objectives of the internship:

– Distribution centers and warehouses – warehousing problem in the city area, rational location determination.

– E-commerce – trends, performances, infrastructures and delivery structure.

– Urban goods movements: integrated modeling – the urban goods movement in city transit, constraints to urban goods movement.

  • Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Systems and Road Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences Lidiia Volodymyrivna Savchenko

The main objectives of the internship:

– To get acquainted with modern European methods of supply chain management in the city conditions using the principles of sustainable development.

– To get acquainted with software products capable of developing distribution routes taking into account traffic congestion.

– Familiarize yourself with the existing restrictions on the movement of trucks in the city, the requirements for them from the point of view of the environment;

– To learn to solve routing tasks using European IT technologies, including navigation systems

  • Luca Persia– Director of the Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL), Sapienza University of Rome

As well as:

Prof. Andrea Campagna for providing an opportunity to visit his lectures  on Freight Transport and Logistics, and holding a seminar on City logistics and applications and an opportunity to get acquainted with the methodology of determining the logistics sustainability index.

Prof. Paolo Delle Site for holding a seminar   on Sustainable mobility and assessment of interventions on the transportation system.

Loris Mezzavilla  for holding a seminar  on OD freight matrices.

Eleonora Meta and Anastasia Azarko for providing support to participants during the internship.
