Exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum of Bar College of Automotive and Highway Engineering: Crystal Sources of National Traditions

On November, 14, the Crystal Sources of  National Traditions exhibition of the Svitlytsia Ethnographic Museum of Bar College of Automotive and Highway Engineering was opened. This exhibition is dedicated to the Anniversary of the University.

Svitlytsia is one of the best among educational establishments. It is known not only in Ukraine, but also in Poland, Germany, Italy, the USA and Canada.

The exhibition contains household items, such as: utensils, spoons, combs, irons, chests, furniture, lanterns, stags, oven forks, mortars, pokers, towels, shirts, wreaths, ribbons, icons, a table and even an old cradle.
The richest is the collection of towels: about 1000, with some of them dating back to the nineteenth century. Various embroidery techniques: cross, satin stitch, needle punching and so on are presented.
The museum is proud of its collection of Easter eggs. The largest is the collection of Podolsk Easter eggs, made using different techniques: scribbling, drop painting, hand-drawing, and decoration with cereals. There are also motanka dolls.
The University staff and students were pleased to attend the exposition and appreciated its great importance.
