The first round of the IX International Language and Literature Contest among schoolchildren and students named after Taras Shevchenko has started.

Love your dear Ukraine, adore her,

Love her… in fierce time of evil,

In the last dread hour of struggle

 Fervently beseech God for her

Taras Shevchenko
